During this course, you’ll develop problem-solving skills, learn how to organise a search operation and safely bring objects back to the surface.
What you will learn
Planning and organisation are essential parts of any successful underwater search.
During the course you will learn how to:
• Use effective underwater search patterns
• Navigate using your compass and natural references
• Locate small and large objects underwater
• Use lift bags to recover heavy objects
• Plan and organise a search operation before the dive
These techniques are widely used by divers in underwater exploration, marine research and professional diving.
Course Structure
The PADI Search and Recovery Specialty includes:
• Knowledge development with PADI eLearning
• 4 open water training dives
• Instructor briefings and practical search exercises
You will practice different underwater search patterns and recovery techniques during your PADI Search and Recovery Diver course in Halkidiki under the guidance of your instructor.
eLearning
Start your theory online with PADI eLearning and complete the knowledge development at your own pace before arriving at the dive center.
Once the theory is completed, you will finish the practical training dives with your instructor in Ouranoupoli, Halkidiki.

Minimum age

Certification requirement
• PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or

Arrival Information
The course takes place at Athos Scuba Diving Center in Ouranoupoli, Halkidiki.
Training dives are scheduled depending on sea conditions and the daily diving program.
