Emergency First Response (EFR) teaches practical first aid and CPR skills for real-life situations — whether you’re a diver or not.

This hands-on course helps you stay calm, assess emergencies and provide effective care until professional medical help arrives.

EFR is also the required first step before continuing to the PADI Rescue Diver course.

 What you will learn

EFR training focuses on simple, practical skills that anyone can apply with confidence.

Primary Care (CPR)

Learn how to respond to life-threatening emergencies, including:

• CPR techniques and rescue breaths

Many divers choose to continue directly with the PADI Rescue Diver Course, since EFR certification is required for Rescue training.
